Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 is officially the sixth highest opening weekend movie of all time, taking in an impressive $125.1 million during it’s opening extended weekend, just short of this year’s top movie Iron Man 2 which took in just under $130 million during it’s open weekend take.
According to current numbers the Harry Potter flick took in $330.1 million worldwide since Friday’s midnight shows.
While the movies numbers were impressive, they did not include 3D ticket sales which were not made available for opening weekend, sales which could have added $20-$25 million in additional sales according to Eonline.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 is going to debut on November 19th and now the first full length trailer for the movie has officially debuted.
Note the darker undertones of the film, if you’ve read the book series you’re probably aware that J.K. Rowling specifically led the books in a darker direction as her core audience grew older with their favorite characters played by Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley).

Movie-wise, there’s possibly something for everyone this week, with a couple of big flicks, at least in hype if not in quality. IMDB lists four new releases, and you can get more details from their profile pages, which I’ve linked to from each movie’s title.
Data from IMDB’s Now Playing page.
Still in theaters: Shrek Forever After, Iron Man 2, Robin Hood, Letters to Juliet, Just Wright, MacGruber and others, mostly released last week.
Enjoy the movies!

At the recent BAFTA 2010 Awards, British actress Bonnie Wright made a stunning appearance in her plunging, gold satin Prada gown. She just turned 19 a few days ago, and she already looks like a grown woman. I almost didn’t recognize her!
You may remember her for her first Harry Potter movie in 2001, where she plays the younger sister of Harry’s best friend Ron Weasley. How times flies.
