If you’ve been following the career of Justin Bieber you would almost certainly think he was a shoe-in for the “best new artist” Grammy at this years awards show, after all he’s sold millions of albums, has fans around the world and heck even his hairdo has become a pop phenomenon, however that wasn’t enough to keep Esperanza Spalding from robbing the Biebs of the award.
Esperanza took the title at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards with her jazzy songs and bass playing abilities, proving that sometimes even the Academy wants “real” musicians to take home top honors.
Kanye West didn’t go all Taylor Swift at this show either, saying of the “Best new artist” nod:
“Damn… I can’t find the words to explain how I feel about the best new artist award… Don’t wanna say the wrong thing.”

Amy Winehouse was initially denied a US visa, but now the Embassy's letting her go after all.
Except she doesn't want to anymore.
Her camp says that the "logistics" are too complicated, and it would be much easier to stick to the plan of just broadcasting her performance from London. But think about it: would they want to go, after that initial humiliation?
