With a Broadway musical on the way, a clothing line and millions of downloaded iTunes songs, I thought the Glee merchandising chain had it all, but now they’ve went one step further with a Glee Comic Book.
The comic was created by Bluewater Productions, the same company responsible for biographies from David Beckham, Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga.
The comic includes 32-pages and will take a look at the main characters from the Fox TV show. Read the rest of this entry »

Gleeks get ready, Britney Spears will be invading the show on September 28th according to show creator Ryan Murphy.
Ryan talked about the Spears appearance on the syndicated radio show On-Air With Ryan Seacrest:
““I will give you a little scoop, which is that Britney will 100% be on the episode, which is exciting. She’s going to come and join us and do a couple scenes,”
The episode is titled “Britney/Brittany" and will appear as the show enters its second season.
Spears will appear in a drug induced fantasy land, no seriously, she'll appear to the cast members as they are under anesthesia at the dentist.
According to Murphy:
“They have fantasies of how they can be like her.”

As if the cast of Glee weren't already the outcasts of McKinley High, now in season two they will be tackling an even more weird and alienating subject matter, the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Co-creator Ryan Murphy announced plans for the Rocky Horror spot at Comic-Con (SDCC) over this past weekend.
The second season of Glee will debut on Sept. 21 @ 8 PM ET on Fox. Read the rest of this entry »

It's a sad day for anyone who was hoping to land a spot on the hit Fox TV show Glee. Producers of the U.S. hit have called off their national open audition search for the shows next character.
Fox producers announced in March that they were looking for someone between the ages of 16-26 to appear on the show, stating that the winner would be featured during the second season of the show. The call for talent led to many Gleeks (Glee fans) to upload their video performances to MySpace while singing along to their favorite Glee covered tunes.

Filipina singing sensation Charice Pempengco will soon be walking the halls of McKinley High.
The singer will join the cast of Glee with a recurring role on the second season of the Fox comedy-musical.
Charice has been called the next Celine Dion by industry analysts and fans alike and her voice should add a whole new reason to watch the show.
It also doesn’t hurt Glee that Charice has become an internet sensation, racking up millions of video views.

If you’re a Gleek (Glee fan) and you simply can’t get enough of the show, especially as the off-season has arrived, you’re in luck, Fox has announced a new clothing and accessory line that’s set to debut this Fall.
The clothing line, will arrive at Macy’s stories nationwide by August, just before Glee Season 2 begins.
If accessorizing your wardrobe is more your style, Claire’s will debut an exclusive Glee Jewelry collection in September.

Amber Riley, known for her role as Mercedes Jones on the Emmy award winning show Glee was rejected by American Idol producers when auditioning for the popular TV talent show.
Extra TV spoke with Idol Judge Randy Jackson who said he never had the opportunity to see Mercedes Jones audition, apparently because the top notch singer gave a rather uninspired audition during the first round of producer monitored auditions.

Inside Miley Cyrus, there’s a big girl waiting to get out. But can someone please tell her she’s not a big girl just yet? She’s not even legal for a few more months, yet last year she did a lapdance for producer Adam Shankman a (gay) 44 year-old man, and earlier this year she did a photo shoot in a corset. Now she’s performing for kids in skimpy outfits (a olive-colored one-piece leotard/ bustier/ bathing suit with “nude” leggings and black high-heel “come-eff-me-boots”) and rubbing her hand suggestively along her hip and thigh.
Now, it’s understandable that she doesn’t get the TV show Glee, and can’t “suspend her disbelief,” despite her background, but how does she not get that she’s behaving inappropriately? As far as I can tell, daddy Billy Ray Cyrus has don’t anything mean to his daughter, so she’s not a head case like some of her elder sister celebs.
So what’s going on with all these “dress up” games? And how come she’s saying that she’s not a fan of pop music? Isn’t that what she’s all about? Well apparently not, as her Can’t Be Tamed video, off her upcoming album of the same name, shows. In it, she’s wear a black one-piece, looks kind of like a goth-y Mary Kate or Ashley Olsen. Oh wait, she’s some mythical creature, the Avis Cyrus (?), and she has large black wings. And according to the lyrics, she “goes through guys like money.”
Hmm, yes. Maybe she and Avril Lavigne can compare notes about how tough they are. But at least Avril’s of age. I really find it hard to buy this new pop-punk Miley at the (maybe not so) tender age of 17. Then again, how many other “sweet” little lala land girls went on to be Monster Sluts successful adult entertainers? I’ve lost count.

May 18th is the date that you’ll be able to get your hands on the last Glee soundtrack planned for Season 1. Along with Volumes 1 and 2, and the special Power of Madonna soundtrack, Volume 3 marks the fourth disc the freshman show has released, making Glee quite the cash cow for Fox.
Volume 3, entitled Showstoppers, will be released in two flavors: a basic, 14-song disc for $11.99, and a deluxe edition with 6 extra songs, for $14.99. Volume 3 features songs from the final episodes of the season, so one assumes that the performances featured in the show choir’s Regionals competition will be included. Here’s the full track list; songs marked with a * are exclusive to the deluxe edition. Read the rest of this entry »

You can’t discuss Madonna without mentioning Britney Spears, and vice-versa. After the successful Madonna tribute on Glee, as well as the album compilation The Power of Madonna, fans have taken it upon themselves to decide who they believe should be featured next on Glee.
They bombarded networking sites such as Twitter with the idea of a Britney Spears episode. Why not? Even the show’s creator Ryan Murphy thinks it’s a good idea. According to AHN, they’ve already talked to the popstar about it.
“She certainly would love to do it,” Ryan said. “And I think she’s phenomenally talented. And the kids and the cast certainly have a great connection to her. So maybe, yeah. We’re going to talk about it.”
If Britney says yes, fans will have to wait until this fall or spring next year. Producers want the Britney episode to coincide with the release of her upcoming seventh album.
I would love to see the Glee cast perform “Hit Me Baby One More Time” with Lea Michele doing Britney’s part from the original music video.
Which Britney Spears songs would you love to hear on Glee?

In 2009, Madonna granted Glee the rights to her entire catalogue of music, and the producers had a hunch that the Madonna tribute would be one epic episode. They were absolutely right.

In Glee’s April 20th episode, the gang performed Madonna’s greatest hits, such as “Express Yourself” and “Like A Prayer.” They also launched the album compilation, Glee: The Music—The Power of Madonna on the same day.
The album contains the seven songs that the cast performed on the show—“Express Yourself,” “Borderline/Open Your Heart” mash up, “Vogue,” “Like a Virgin,” “4 Minutes,” “What It Feels Like For a Girl,” and “Like A Prayer.” The iTunes edition even features a bonus track, “Burning Up,” which wasn’t part of the show.
It’s only been over a week since The Power of Madonna was released, and the album already hit number one on Billboard 200, beating out other contenders such as Justin Bieber.
Who do you think was the more powerful figure in selling the album—Madonna or Glee?

Aren’t you glad Glee season 2 has begun? The cast and crew of our favorite musical TV show gathered for the Glee Spring Premiere Party at Chateau Marmont, Los Angeles on April 12.
Spring was the theme indeed as the female members of the cast dressed in this season’s top red carpet trends. Tell me which one gets your vote for best-dressed.
Mr. Schuester could do a 360 with Jessalyn Gilsig’s hot strapless number.
Lea Michele reveals her more grown-up side with this low-cut maxi dress.
Heather Morris takes a break from her character’s pom-poms and opts for a belted puff-sleeved dress.
Jenna Ushkowitz chooses a gray color scheme with this sexy bodice dress and matching gray heels.
Naya Rivera keeps her look young and trendy.
Glam is the word for Dianna Agron’s floor-length gown.
Amber Riley gives her black and white ensemble a touch of color with her scarlet pumps.

No surprise there. Glee took home the award for best musical or comedy television series, beating veteran shows as The Office, 30 Rock, and Entourage at the recent Golden Globe Awards.
Although the hit Fox show bagged the biggest award that night, it didn’t win three other awards that its cast members were nominated for. Leah Michele, who was nominated as best actress in a musical or comedy series lost to Toni Colette from The United States of Tara. Jane Lynch, who was nominated as best supporting actress, lost to Chloe Sevigny of Big Love. Matthew Morrison lost the best actor award to Alec Baldwin of 30 Rock.
“Thank you to the Hollywood Foreign Press and Miss Barbara Streisand,” said Glee creator Ryan Murphy in his acceptance speech, with the cast celebrating behind him. “We would like to thank all the wonderful people who actually thought a musical would work on primetime television.”
Congratulations, Gleeks!

Glee has caught the attention of a lot of viewers, and no wonder! It does make you feel good – the musical numbers does wonders for your spirit. Then again, the half-baked plot, the stereotypes, and sometimes pithy lines may turn you off. What turns others off, though, is the fact that the character who is in a wheelchair (Artie) is not really disabled in real life. Robert David Hall from CSI, who wears artificial legs, says that this is not right – that they “robbed” a real disabled person of his shot at the role. Do you agree with him?

If you liked what you saw in Glee, the musical series on TV, then you’d be happy to know that the show will have another 9 episodes added to the existing 13. The announcement came from Fox, which said that the first three episodes gained enough viewers to push on for one FULL season. Oh, glee!
