Nicole Kidman has taken Reese Witherspoon’s place this year as the highest paid actress.  39-year-old Kidman now earns up to $17 million a movie & is at the top of The Hollywood Reporter’s 2006 Highest Paid Actress List.

Nicole recently explained her career choices to Vouge, stating, “My motivation now is very much about if the character intrigues me and if the director intrigues me, and if I have the desire to throw myself into that.”

Julia Roberts is probably hiding in a closet somewhere crying since she didn’t even make the list this year, after topping it four years in a row.  Reese, however, did make the acclaimed list this year coming in second while bringing in just (just, ha!!) $15 million per movie.

Renée Zellweger, Drew Barrymore & Cameron Diaz all followed coming in at third, forth, and fifth.

So, what do you think?  Who should be at the top of the list, who is most deserving?  Pamela Anderson?!!!!
