41-year-old comedian Chris Rock has started on his own divorce proceedings from his wife of 10 years, Malaak Compton-Rock.  Sources state that the comedian has hired a highfalutin divorce attorney to do the dirty job.

Chris & Malaak married in 1996 and have two daughters, 4-year-old Lola & 2-year-lld Zahra.  Malaak is the founder & executive director of StyleWorks, a not-for-profit salon that provides free services for women quitting welfare and joining the workforce.  So, a stylist gone charitable.
 
When contacted Rock’s rep only stated, “I cannot comment at this time.”
