jennifer-hudson-day-3-7-06.jpgSo, my question has finally been answered.  How to you get the city of Chicago to name a day after you?  Apparently you have to lose at “American Idol”, but star in an Oscar-winning movie to get your own day & that’s just what new star Jennifer Hudson was able to do.

Oscar winner Hudson went back home to Chicago Tuesday where Mayor Richard Daley named March 6 Jennifer Hudson Day.  I wonder if she got the key to the city…..  Earlier on Tuesday Hudson visited her alma mater, Dunbar Vocational Career Academy, where she told the students, “If you can see it, you can achieve it. Don’t let anybody tell you what you can or cannot do.”

Good advice, if you’ve got a killer voice that is.  Looking forward to celebrating Jennifer Hudson Day next year, wonder what we should do…….
