helen-mirren-sag-1-30-07.jpgEnglish actress Helen Mirren picked up two Screen Actors Guild (SAG) awards in Los Angeles Sunday evening.

61-year-old Mirren took home the Best Female Actor in a TV Movie or Miniseries for her role at Queen Elizabeth I in Elizabeth I as well as Best Female Actor in a Movie for playing another queen, Elizatbeth II, in The Queen.  Mirren certainly had a royal year it would seem.

It was a night for the Brits as Jeremy Irons took home Best Male Actor in a TV Movie or Miniseries for his role in Elizabeth I & Hugh Laurie took home a SAG award as Best Male Actor in a Drama Series award for House.
