Fran Drescher, former star of The Nanny has offered her name as a possible replacement for Hilary Clinton‘s seat in the senate, alongside Caroline Kennedy.

It’s not that far-fetched actually, as the cancer-survivor has already had a hand in politics, being recently appointed as a diplomat for U.S. health issues, where she toured Eastern Europe.

But I guess the question in everybody’s head is : Is that her real voice?

Fran thinks she shouldn’t lose her New Yorker accent (minus the nasal part), and says its part of the reason why she should be picked:

“I would hope that he’d take into consideration that I’m a beloved New Yorker who gets the New York constituents probably as good, if not better, than any of the other people being considered”
