In Hollywood, a romance spanning a few weeks is an eternity, so its not unlikely that after a hot weekend in Miami, Jennifer and her new beau, John Mayer, were reported to already be “missing” each other. Seen holding hands and snuggling at a restaurant, the pair are obviously the new hot romance de jour. 39-year-old Jen is in Miami shooting “Marley and Me” with Owen Wilson.

Annie Liebovitz, the famous photographer who took the controversial photos of Miley Cyrus, says the whole situation has been misinterpreted.

“Miley and I looked at fashion photographs together and we discussed the picture in that context before we shot it. The photograph is a simple, classic portrait, shot with very little makeup, and I think it is very beautiful.”

Unfortunately most people think it’s inappropriate and there is talk that this could ruin Miley’s career.

Looking half-naked, lying on a lap of her-then boyfriend, a bra peeping out? That ain’t Disney, that’s for sure.

Miley apologized for the photos and her parents called it “a learning experience.” Oh well.

She’s not wallowing though. “Life’s too short. “I’m a ‘let it go, move on’ kind of person. And ice cream is my friend. If anybody sees me eating a sundae and I look unhappy, something bad has happened,” Underwood tells the magazine. “I am drowning my sorrows in fudge and caramel and whipped cream.”

Amy Winehouse continues on her downward spiral. She was arrested for headbutting a man, then punched another before enjoying a “post assault” puff of drugs on the street.

Pity how someone so talented could be such a trainwreck. Even Britney’s got her act together, when will she?

Wesley Snipes has been convicted of tax evasion and has been given a three-year prison sentence and at least a $5 million fine.

Seems a little bit harsh, but with a recession, the government seems het up on getting as much money as it can. Whatever the sum, says one IRS representative, “we will still try to collect the money. You can count on that.”

Yikes.

Amy Winehouse will have to wait a few more weeks before she sees husband Blake Fielder-Civil. The courts said he will remain in jail at least until June 9.

Amy, who has her own legal battles, was not present at his hearing — his “best friend” Sophie Schandorff (a very young, very pretty blonde woman) attended. As he was leaving, Fielder-Civil and Schandorff mouthed “I love yous.”

Britney’s been required to pay almost $400,000 in legal fees — and that’s just for 3 months of service! In fact, Samuel Ingham, Spears’s court-appointed attorney, gets $10,000 a week,
Andrew Wallet, the co-conservator of Spears’s finances, will receive an advance of $100,000. (Wallet had not been paid since becoming involved last February.).

The firm which won Jamie Spears control of his daughter’s affairs will also be advanced $175,000, and a lawyer representing Britney’s brother Bryan Spears will get $22,500, while Stacy Phillips, Britney’s new divorce lawyer, will receive $75,000.

The singer’s father and Wallet remain in control of her life until a July 31 hearing.

A month ago I filed for divorce. The dissolution of a marriage is a difficult time in anyone’s life that requires privacy with one’s thoughts. I have committed myself to handling this situation with dignity and grace and look forward to emerging from this period as a stronger and wiser woman.”
