Putting last year’s scandals behind him, golfer Tiger Woods headed back to the greens this month for the US Masters at Augusta, Georgia.

“The Masters is where I won my first major and I view this tournament with great respect,” he said in a statement. “After a long and necessary time away from golf, I feel I am ready to start my season at Augusta.”

The golfer and his team have managed to stifle talks of the scandals. It was all golf and business at the greens, which is a good sign that Tiger is indeed trying his best to end that chapter in his life.

He even received the “Male Player of the Year in 2009” award during the 2010 Golf Writers of America Annual Awards Dinner at the Savannah Rapids Pavilion on April 7.
